Back Pain Treatment
Back pain is both frightening and debilitating. It's scary to think that back surgery could be in your future because we all know the outcomes are so uncertain. In the meantime, you find you can do less and less and are experiencing more and more pain. Your back pain becomes a prison that takes away your freedom to enjoy a full and active life. But, it doesn't have to be that way!
At OneSource, we offer the best of nonsurgical medical, chiropractic and therapeutic treatments woven together into a highly effective nonsurgical back and neck pain program. There is no "one approach fits everyone" formula when it comes to treating back and neck pain. What you need are proven treatment options that can give you the best chance to recover. OneSource has two goals for your back and neck: 1. No pain. 2. No surgery.

Treatment Options
Medical Pain Management
A key component of our back and neck pain program is to manage your current pain level so that you can participate in our more comprehensive program to correct the cause of the pain and not simply treat the pain itself. Short term, acute pain management is provided by our expert medical staff and may include oral medications or injections.
Functional Movement System (FMS)
Our doctors are trained and certified in the therapeutic approach known as FMS. This cutting edge system of movement pattern analysis used by the Navy Seals and the NFL focuses on improving mobility, stability, basic motor control and whole movement patterns. Our goal is to create a strategy to actually address the underlying conditions that created your pain rather than simply masking the pain with medications.
NonSurgical Spinal Decompression Therapy
At OneSource, we feature one of the most advanced nonsurgical treatments for low back pain: the DRX 9000 decompression therapy. The DRX 9000 offers proven relief for disc injuries and spinal disc degeneration.
MRI Scan with DRX 9000
In a prospective, multicenter, nonrandomized, phase II pilot study to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the DRX9000 for the active treatment of chronic LBP, 20 patients with chronic LBP—based on a diagnosis of musculoskeletal or mechanical LBP, herniated discs, bulging or protruding discs, degenerative disc disease, or pain from failed back surgery more than six months previously—underwent a series of 20 DRX9000 treatments for six weeks. Study participants (33.3% female; 83.3% white; mean age 46.6 years; 77.8% employed) had a mean pain score of 6.4 on a 0–10 scale prior to the first DRX9000 treatment; this decreased to 0.8 after the final DRX9000 treatment. Sixteen out of the 18 subjects (88.9%) reported an improvement in back pain and better function as measured by activities of daily living. On a 0–10 satisfaction scale, patients gave the DRX9000 an average score of 8.1. No patient required any invasive therapies (e.g. epidural injections, surgery). Overall, the pain of patients decreased by 50% after two weeks of DRX9000 treatment. Patients required fewer analgesics and experienced better function. No safety issues were identified with the multimodal treatment routine.
